for a Director of Global Sales, Indonesia to join our fun
and energetic team at Indonesia Office.
You'll be responsible for the delivery of global revenues from the global and national key accounts located in Indonesia. You will be responsible for the short and long term strategic direction of all market segments providing insight, industry knowledge and direction to the wider community and the management of their team members. You will also be responsible for the accounts located within their region and ensure that the strategic, contracting and account
management processes are in place to deliver upon the requirements of the Indonesia and the global IHG community.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with the Global and Indonesia team to set the financial deliverables of the Global Sales team on an annual basis
Review account platforms and realign where appropriate on a bi-annual basis.
In conjunction with Key Account Managers and Business Development set and agree account targets and new business targets on an annual basis
Manage the Global Sales department budget.
Execute quality quarterly reviews of key accounts and recommend and implement strategic actions as part of quarterly sales action planning.
Monitor and support team to execute quality quarterly reviews of their assigned market segments, deep diving into specific accounts to ensure targets are on track to delivery full year results.
Pay particular attention to forecast revenue shortfalls of accts and communicate these through Global reporting process to ensure that action is taken to combat any deficit.
Develop capability of the team by mentoring each individual’s development.
Work within the company’s Talent Management and IHG Way of Sales framework with regards to recruitment, selection, induction, training and development of team members.
Manage the succession plan and effectiveness of the team members with utilisation of their individual abilities and by supporting their personal development and career aspirations.
Deliver input including insight into the quarterly report for use within the Indonesia market overview report
Report on changes to market conditions to senior leadership team in a timely manner and ensure plans are reviewed and adjusted accordingly
Promote and seek partnerships with businesses aligned with IHG’s Corporate Responsibility framework.
Demonstrate awareness and understanding of IHG’s Corporate Responsibility framework including OHS&W policies and procedures
Actively report environmental and workplace hazards, injuries and accidents arising from workplace activities, providing recommendations for corrective actions to prevent or minimise the chance of recurrence.
Ideally you'll have a Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business or Hospitality Management with sales experience preferably with five years in a multi-unit capacity. You'll have experience in dealing with international and regional clients and promoting multi hotel brand and destinations.
Superior expertise in sales principles and techniques.
Exceptional client management, problem solving, effective communication, negotiation and organization skills.
Strong knowledge of overall IHG including IHG products, marketing programs.
Strong networking with customers and business partners, and flexible working approach.
Good PC skills (Words, Excel, Power point and Microsoft Outlook) and web site knowledge.
Ability to develop strong relationships with customers’ senior management
Confidence in representing multiple properties, multiple countries and working remote from team members.
Display an understanding of International and Domestic market trends and customer needs.
Experienced in leadership and development of sales talent, particularly in delivering results through the team.
Competent in allocating resources, controlling expenses and working within pre-determined budgets.
Establishes goals and objectives, sets performance targets
