Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in rooms allocation for incoming andoutgoing staff Plans and implements the colleague room allocation
  • Conducts regularly inspections to ensure propercleaning and the respect of housing rules and regulations as well as the gooduse of assets.
  • Coordinates all necessary repairs and maintenancework
  • Checking pest control and reporting anyrequirements
  • Inspects all linen, utensils used by employees
  • Ensure timely removal of sewages
  • Records water and electricity consumption in thestaff house at the end of each month
  • Maintains all employee notice boards
  • Tocontinuously monitor the washers/driers, water pumps and dish antennas andinform Housing Manager of any irregularities.
  • To supervise cleaning work performed by theoutsourced cleaning company, i.e. window cleaning, kitchen cleaning, generalroom cleaning, recreation room cleaning, TV room and staircase cleaning andreport any irregularities.
  • To liaise with the security guards in monitoring thevisitor register and visiting hours.
  • To report the needs of the cooking range anddrinking water.
  • To be responsible for the safekeeping of the staffhouse keys.
  • To keep correct and up-to-date furniture,equipment, utensil, and linen inventories in the staff houses.
  • To assist with the exit formalities of employeesleaving the services of the hotel.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in atimely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies andprocedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
  • To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules& Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel s policyon Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
  • To ensure that all potential and real hazards arereported and rectified immediately.
  • To understand and strictly adhere to the Hotel sEmployee rules & regulations.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned to him/her bymanagement.
  • Chart out and implementgeneral and preventative maintenance tasks on buildings and grounds
  • Handle installation,repairs, plumbing and electrical issues
  • Respond to maintenancerequests put forward by residents or staff in terms of electrical, heating andplumbing needs
  • Manage repair work onwalls, floors, doors and wood work
  • Paint interior of thebuilding and inspect and respond to safety issues
  • Document findings interms of needed repairs and performed duties
  • Ensure that buildingsand grounds are kept free of debris and trash
  • Handle maintenance andtroubleshooting of mechanical processes
  • Ensure that the insideof buildings such as rooms, offices and restrooms are kept clean and sanitizedduring the day
  • Make sure that firedetection and protection systems are in perfect working order
  • Check and performmaintenance activities on alarm systems
  • Remove graffiti fromwalls and report any acts of vandalism to the appropriate authorities
  • Assure theimplementation of security and safety standards
  • Alert appropriateauthorities of any malfunctions in fire or alarm systems
  • Respond to emergencysituations in a prompt manner
  • Hire and trainmaintenance workers in order to assign them different maintenance tasks
