Job Overview

Under the generalguidance and supervision of the Director of Sales & Marketing; incoordination within the limits of established IC Hotels policies procedures and Sales Managermanual, oversees and implements all Sales activities in his/her specific areaof responsibility.

Asan Events Sales Manager, you will be responsible in assuring highestdegree of guest satisfaction by ensuring guests' needs and requests which areaddressed promptly during internal and external functions. Plan, Directand Coordinate the Banquets and Catering function and also assist banquets& outside Catering service staff on different client complaints and requests.

Place of Work

Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Doha The Business Park. The Company may temporarily post you to another IHG hotel /department after discussing the suitability and domestic arrangements with you. You may on occasion be required to travel both in Qatar and overseas in connection with the employment.

Duties and Responsibilities

-[if !supportLists]->1.-[endif]->Implements all sales action plans related to his/her marketing area asoutlined in the Marketing Plan.

-[if !supportLists]->2.-[endif]->Establishes and maintains files on major active accounts within his/hermarketing areas.

-[if !supportLists]->3.-[endif]->Promotes and produces sales leads for other InterContinental HotelsGroup through the I-Leads system.

-[if !supportLists]->4.-[endif]->Plans sales trips, under the direct approval of Director of Sales & Marketing/ Assistant Director of Sales, to major marketing areas, calling on accountswithin their specific marketing area. Reports to the Director of Sales & Marketingon potential markets needing coverage.

-[if !supportLists]->5.-[endif]->Provides feedback to the Director of Sales & Marketing / AssistantDirector of Sales on changing market conditions, including trends in thecompetition as a result, of direct sales solicitation, telephone and directmail, in his/her market areas. Arranges familiarization/site inspection tripsin the hotel for major clients.

-[if !supportLists]->7.-[endif]->Maintains a high level of exposure in the hotel in major market areasthrough direct sales solicitation; telephone contacts, and writtencommunications.

-[if !supportLists]->9.-[endif]->Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel features / services, hours of operation,schedule in-house activities, location and times

-[if !supportLists]->10.-[endif]->Attends meetings asrequested by Director of Sales & Marketing / Assistant Director of Sales.

-[if !supportLists]->11.-[endif]->Submits weekly salesreports, business-generated reports, and weekly call planner to Director ofSales & Marketing or Assistant Director of Sales.

-[if !supportLists]->13.-[endif]->Supports hotel promotionsand events and ensures information is fed into the market.

SELF MANAGEMENT

-[if !supportLists]->2.-[endif]->Comply with Company Grooming Standards at alltimes to portray a professional image of self and the hotel.

-[if !supportLists]->5.-[endif]->Demonstrate understanding and awareness ofall policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety

-[if !supportLists]->7.-[endif]->Ensure all security incidents, accidents andnear misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attentionof the Line Manager
