Job Overview

To recordand process all reservation inquiries made by phone, fax or email efficientlyand accurately and converted to sales where possible to meet hotel targets.

Place of Work

Holiday Inn Doha TheBusiness Park - The Company may temporarily post you to another IHG hotel/department/Crowne Plaza Doha - The Business Park after discussing thesuitability and domestic arrangements with you. You may on occasion be requiredto travel both in Qatar and overseas in connection with the employment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Sell the hotel products and services using up-selling and suggestiveselling techniques

-{PS..0}->-{PS..1}->Promote the Hotel s (and IHG generally) products and services

-{PS..2}->-{PS..3}->Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about all IHGHotels in your region

-{PS..4}->-{PS..5}->Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls

-{PS..6}->-{PS..7}->Prepare and execute action plans which increase reservation sales andassociated business

-{PS..8}->-{PS..9}->Record and process reservations made by phone/fax/email

-{PS..10}->-{PS..11}->Accept wait list reservations

-{PS..12}->-{PS..13}->Process amendments to reservations such as extensions, early departures,etc

-{PS..14}->-{PS..15}->Manage no show reservations by investigation and recording of same

-{PS..16}->-{PS..17}->Record special billing arrangements for groups and conventions

-{PS..18}->-{PS..19}->Liaise with Front Office Manager or Finance Manager for all reservationsrequiring credit approval

-{PS..20}->-{PS..21}->Maintain knowledge of special rates/ offers/ promotions

-{PS..22}->-{PS..23}->Monitor reservation levels and inform Managers of current and futureoccupancy rates

-{PS..24}->-{PS..25}->Prepare reports as requested (e.g. to travel agents, business housesetc)

-{PS..26}->-{PS..27}->Prepare reservation sales reports
