To record and process all reservation inquiries made by phone, fax or email efficiently and accurately and converted to sales where possible to meet hotel targets.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Sell the Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park products and services using up-selling and suggestive selling techniques

  2. Promote the Hotel’s (and IHG generally) products and services

  3. Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about all IHG Hotels in your region

  4. Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls

  5. Prepare and execute action plans which increase reservation sales and associated business

  6. Record and process reservations made by phone/fax/email

  7. Accept wait list reservations

  8. Process amendments to reservations such as extensions, early departures, etc

  9. Manage “no show” reservations by investigation and recording of same

  10. Record special billing arrangements for groups and conventions

  11. Liaise with Front Office Manager or Finance Manager for all reservations requiring credit approval

  12. Maintain knowledge of special rates/ offers/ promotions

  13. Monitor reservation levels and inform Managers of current and future occupancy rates

  14. Prepare reports as requested (e.g. to travel agents, business houses etc)

  15. Prepare reservation sales reports

SELF MANAGEMENT

  1. Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook

  2. Comply with Company Grooming Standards at all times to portray a professional image of self and the hotel.

  3. Comply with Time and Attendance Policies set by the hotel.

  4. Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development

  5. Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety

  6. Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures

  7. Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager

  8. Comply with the Company’s Corporate Code of Conduct

  9. Familiarize self with the company values (Great Hotels Guests Love) and model desired behaviors (Winning Ways, Room to be Yourself) and ways of working (IHG Wheel).

  10. Perform all tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals

Candidates that speak Arabic language and that already reside in Qatar will be given an advantage in hiring process.
