Job Overview

Under the guidanceof the I.T Manager is accountable for the provision of IT services for allusers to maximize the business value and Hotel Revenues from the effective andefficient use of Information Technology in the Hotel by ensuring the HotelComputer Systems are installed and operating according to company standards,policy and procedures

To manage andprioritize any IT problems, impacting either revenue and/or the guest, forquick resolution and to backup the IT Manager (for daily operations).

Holiday Inn Doha TheBusiness Park - The Company may temporarily post you to another IHG hotel/department/Crowne Plaza Doha - The Business Park after discussing thesuitability and domestic arrangements with you. You may on occasion be requiredto travel both in Qatar and overseas in connection with the employment.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. You will be responsible for the efficient and optimum useand assist in installing, networking, training and maintaining the belowsystems:

  • Property Management Systems
  • Back Office Accounting System
  • Point of Sales System
  • All operating systems (Novell, UNIX, Windows NT, Windows 9x, DOS, Windows 3.X, Windows 200X including Active Directory)
  • Sales & Catering System
  • Hotel Inventory System
  • E-Mail System
  • Electronic Key System
  • PABX Programming
  • Call Accounting System
  • Voice Mail Programming
  • In-Room Entertainment Programming
  • Payroll Personnel Timekeeping
  • Building Management Systems (Not the day-to-day running)
  • HSIA
  • Database

-[if !supportLists]->8.-[endif]->Responsible for deployment and maintain HSIA including WiFiwhere appropriate, as per brand requirements in order to generate revenue tothe Hotel.

-[if !supportLists]->9.-[endif]->Responsible for deployment and maintain ITV in order togenerate revenue to the Hotel when it is brand appropriate.

-[if !supportLists]->10.-[endif]->Help the IT Manager to maintain a full up-to-date ITEmergency Plan. It should be agreed with all Department Heads and cover allcritical systems.

-[if !supportLists]->11.-[endif]->Help the IT Manager to maintain full up-to-date systems fullset of manuals in IT Department.

-[if !supportLists]->12.-[endif]->IT Supervisor must insure that computer room & PABX roomare locked & access restricted to authorized personnel.

-[if !supportLists]->13.-[endif]->IT Supervisor must insure that all critical equipment(Servers, Interfaces.) are protected by UPS & the UPS is connected to theEmergency Power Generator.

-[if !supportLists]->14.-[endif]->IT Supervisor must maintain a log for all problems and allmaintenance calls.

-[if !supportLists]->15.-[endif]->IT Supervisor must apply the company access securityaccording to the IT policy and procedure (issuing & canceling password,logins, master passwords in safe, Firewall)

-[if !supportLists]->18.-[endif]->IT Supervisor must help the IT Manager to insure that all criticalequipment s are covered by a maintenance contract.

-[if !supportLists]->20.-[endif]->To help managing and testing the Disaster Recovery Plan. (Reloading ofback-up, live test of UPS).

-[if !supportLists]->21.-[endif]->To assist managing the physical security of any computer room, internetaccess.

-[if !supportLists]->22.-[endif]->To stay up-to-date with technology change, trends and future in thehospitality industry and in general
