Cluster Role

This position will be in charge of two properties: Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park and Holiday Inn Doha - The Business Park. The upcoming property, Holiday Inn Doha – The Business Park, is scheduled to be open in 2017, therefore all pre-opening Marketing & Communications activities for this hotel will be responsibility of this role. Cluster title will be awarded closer to the opening of Holiday Inn Doha – The Business Park.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, we are looking for an innovative commutation and marketing professional who can shapes and executes an overall marketing strategy.

This role will consist of analysis of business performance, trends in the market and competitors to develop & implement strategic and tactical marketing plans and activities for B2B, B2C, PR, partnership marketing, online, social and diversified revenue streams to ensure programs and campaigns generate maximum revenue & profit.

The successful candidate will assist the Director of Sales & Marketing to define clear and differentiated market position to address long term trends, risks and opportunities as well as identify strategic point of difference and penetrate new markets & secure new customers. This role will also consist of managing alliances and partnerships & contribute to IHG through the use of marketing tools to meet brand standards.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience; minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position. GCC Experience is a Plus

Required Qualifications

Proficiency in reading and writing English (Arabic Language is a Plus )

JOB SPECIFIC TASKS

Developing & Executing Marketing Strategy

Develop and implement strategic plans to include budget considerations, site goals, and forecasts for appropriate activities.

Ensure that pricing and communications regarding previews are consistent across all channels.

Collect and analyze competitive intelligence (e.g., marketing programs/campaigns) to assist in the enhancement and development of current and future marketing strategy.

Managing External Relationships

Negotiate contracts and work with vendors.

Mange media relations

SELF MANAGEMENT

  1. Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook

  2. Comply with Company Grooming Standards at all times to portray a professional image of self and the hotel.

  3. Comply with Time and Attendance Policies set by the hotel.

  4. Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development

  5. Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety

  6. Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures

  7. Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager

  8. Comply with the Company’s Corporate Code of Conduct

  9. Familiarize self with the company values (Great Hotels Guests Love) and model desired behaviors (Winning Ways, Room to be Yourself) and ways of working (IHG Wheel).

  10. Perform all tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals
