Within the midst of this incredible and fast emerging destination, towering 225 metres high in the exclusive area of West Bay stands a new dimension in luxury, InterContinental Doha The City ; an icon of modern architecture had opened the doors for the guests on 19 February 2012 and had set the standard in modern upscale accommodation for business and leisure travellers. (176 residence, 360 rooms, 7 F&B outlets, one Events Centre).
As an Assistant Director of Food & Beverage , you will assist our Director of F&B in managing the effective operation of the Restaurants, Bar and Lounge, Conference and Banqueting Facilities and outside catering. You will assist in controlling and analyzing quality levels of product and service; guest satisfaction; merchandising and marketing; operating costs; & sanitation on an on-going basis. Also, you will be responsible for maximizing all revenue opportunities through effective teamwork & development and will ensure that Food Quality and Service are delivered to brand standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
Assist manages the day-to-day operation of the Food and Beverage department.
Assist managing the standards and procedures of the department.
Oversee colleague on-the-job performance appraisal, hiring specific levels employees, coaching to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity.
Overseeing creation & execution of menus, pricing, beverage and wine lists.
Conducting frequent Food and Beverage meetings relating to, but not limited to, the following: overall Food and Beverage financial results and profitability, projected business, operations results and problems, new policies, quality improvement, sales improvement and productivity improvement
Keeping up to date with industry trends, systems and best practice
Ideal applicant should have a University degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, or an equivalent combination of education and 6 years' progressive work-related experience in Food & Beverage operations, with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position. A professional, a drive for results, ability to work irregular hours, in restaurant or food & beverage management, late evenings and weekends when appropriate and analytical thinking are desired.
