We have a superb role that sits within our European Sales Team and has responsibility for growing revenues and market share with our Travel Partners.

The Key Account Manager will manage an existing UK account portfolio, maximizing and driving revenue by increasing market and customer share for all brands on behalf of IHG whilst establishing a new portfolio of accounts in line with IHG strategy.

The Role:

The Travel Partner Sales team in Europe have a pivotal role to play in driving performance across all of the brands within IHG.

As the Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the relationship with Key Business Travel Agents to ensure total account management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively drive new business from the existing account portfolio by implementing strategic account plans.

  2. Monitor sales performance and performance to sales targets.

  3. Manage and build key relationships both externally and internally.

  4. Working in conjunction with Area Sales Directors within our Hotels to execute strategy.

  5. Analyse market data to drive an increase in IHG market share through our account base.

  6. Represent IHG at trade shows as required.

Essential Experience Required:

We’re looking for an experienced Key Account Manager. Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years proven track record in working with business travel agencies. Experience working within a franchise organization is essential.

To be successful you will be required to have exceptional communications skills, being fluent in written and spoken English.

You will need to have excellent presentation skills with prior experience of presenting to large audiences. This will typically be to audiences of over 20 people. The successful candidate will need to be competent with the use of PowerPoint to develop informative and effective communications presentations; with the aim of enabling engagement with their client group on updates, products and new brand initiatives.

Analytical skills are also critical to the role and you will need to be familiar with analyzing Market share reporting. The successful candidate will need to be advanced in this area, required to examine reports and interpret data meaningfully, with the aim of building strategic action plans to initiate new business.

It is essential that you have at least 3 years’ experience of achieving sales targets and have a passion for the hospitality industry.
