Crowne Plaza Christchurch is a new hotel that is due to open in mid 2017. We're looking for Assistant Managers to join us in April 2017 to assist the Front Office Manager in leading the pre-opening activities of Reception, Concierge and Night Audit. Including assisting with the recruitment and training of enough talented people to provide exceptional customer experiences for our 204 room property located in the Christchurch CBD.

Join us as an Assistant Manager in Crowne Plaza Christchurch .You ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital role, we re looking for someone who is responsible for all matters pertaining to guest service and hotel operations. You will ensure guests receive seamless service throughout the hotel, liaise with all departments and act promptly on any issues that require immediate resolution putting the guest experience at the heart of everything you do. You will supervise reception and concierge as well as provide support all operational teams especially during peak periods.

You will be confident to take control in a range of hotel emergency situations and be available to work a variety of rotational shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.


Ideally, you'll have a minimum 2 years experience in a hotel front office department with a minimum 1 year experience as a team leader, shift supervisor or Assistant Manager. You'll have proven excellent guest relations focus, problem solving and time management skills with a can do attitude. A working knowledge of Opera PMS and Micros would be advantageous.
