Summertime calls for sunshine, seasonal favorites and

signature cocktails. Five-10 Waterfront will deliver on this promise, offering

a New England-inspired menu, signature pitchers and cocktails. As an energetic

Seasonal Five-10 Waterfront Barback/Food Runner you will have overall

responsibility for expediting food from the kitchen to the guests and/or

stocking and maintaining adequate beverage supplies to assist the bartender,

all the while maintaining a high level of quality, and consistency, as you

delivering impeccable service that exemplifies our Forbes Four-Star service


In this role you will deliver food from kitchen to guests

table. Place food in proper position and

announce food as it is placed in front of guest, if required. Maintain the

orderly upkeep of coolers and storage areas. Stocking and maintaining adequate

beverage supplies to assist the bartender. Maintain all assigned food

production service areas in an orderly manner in compliance with sanitation and

health regulations. Assist in table set up and cleaning when required. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the

restaurant in all areas. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily

communication and coordination. May assist with other duties as needed, such as

welcoming, greeting and seating guests, polishing glassware or silverware, etc.


Qualifications include basic reading, writing and math

skills. Food and beverage service experience with general knowledge of

restaurant operations. Experience as a Barback/Food Runner in a high volume,

upscale bar/restaurant preferred. Basic knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages,

designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments. You

must meet the state legal age requirements and an alcohol awareness

certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler cards may

be required by the local or state government agency.

The Barback/Foodrunner may be required to work nights,

weekends, and/or holidays. This job requires ability to perform the following:

handling, carrying or pushing items weighing up to 50 pounds, moving about the

bar/restaurant and kitchen, bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting.
