Join us as a Directorof Rooms Division at the InterContinental Bordeaux - Le GrandHotel . You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. For

this vital role we’re looking for someone who can direct the rooms division

operations to ensure quality service and standards while delivering a guest

experience that is unique.

This position oversees

the Front Office and Housekeeping operations and reports directly into the

General Manager.

Some key

responsibilities for this role include:

  • Ensure that front office andhousekeeping staff provides guests with prompt service, professionalattention and personal recognition.

  • Ensure guests are greeted uponarrival and make time to interact effectively with guests. Respondappropriately to guest complaints, solicit feedback and buildrelationships that drive continuous improvements in guest satisfaction.

  • Ensure that guest satisfactiondata is analysed and that plans are developed and implemented to achieveestablished goals.

  • Promote teamwork and qualityservice through daily communication and coordination with otherdepartments.

  • Educate and train team membersin compliance with brand and service standards, and governmentalregulations. Ensure staff has the tools, training and equipment to carryout job duties.

  • Participate in the preparationof the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans. Monitorbudget and control labour costs and expenses with a focus on ratestrategy, building initiatives and inventory management.

  • Use company systems andprocesses to maximise revenue. Develop plans to increase occupancy and ADRthrough walk-ins and upselling at the front desk.

Qualifications

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in HospitalityManagement or related field.

  • 3 years of experience in amanagerial role in a 5 star hotel environment.

  • Fluent written and spokenFrench and English. Other languages are a plus.

  • Strong leadership skills,quality oriented and with a drive for results.
