Perform a variety of routine accounting duties to ensure correct reporting of revenues and costs, the timely payment of invoices, and/or timely receipt of monies owed to the hotel. Duties performed are at entry-level in a training capacity, with supervision from higher-level accountants

Duties and responsibilities
Ensure all invoices have the appropriate documentation attached and approvals prior to processing
Assist in balancing daily transfer to city ledger and post, edit and update to accounts receivable system
Aid in the preparation of the travel agents cheque listing
Closing out all taxes on monthly basis with proper reconciliations.
Ensuring timely payment of taxes and filing of returns.
Preparation of General Ledger schedules on month to month basis.
Co-ordination with owning company as and when required.
Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including withholding Payments (TDS), Income Tax, Goods, and Services Tax
Assist in the timely billing of accounts and reconciliation of accounts.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with key department heads.
Should be flexible to switch over other relevant responsibilities (once require) to assist finance manager in routine job.
Maintain clear lines of communication with outside companies to ensure timely and accurate supply of goods and services
Respond to and resolve account queries
Implement and maintain acceptable accounting practices as required by company policy and procedures.
Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems; maintain records for internal and external audits; ensure compliance with government regulations; and contractual agreements.
Manage hotel contracts (example: vendor leases and/or service contracts).
Qualifications and requirements
Commerce Graduate & Professionally qualified preferably CA/CS/ICWA.
1 year experience in an accounting clerical, front office, or reservations position or similar; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
