Because, for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who can run the day-to-day operations of the Reservations Department assisting to drive the operational plans to meet Hotel sales targets.
Reporting to the Front Office Manager and indirectly into our Revenue Manager, as a Reservations Manager your key responsibilities will be:
Ensure smooth running of the day to day operations for the Reservations Department
Demonstrate understanding of online distribution and rate yielding
Maintain the reservations system by recording reservations
Process amendments to reservations such as extensions, early departures
Process special billing arrangements for groups and conventions
Recommend and implement actions and ideas to boost hotel's room revenue
Monitor reservation levels and inform Managers of current and future occupancy rates
Prepare reservation sales reports and other reports to travel agents and business partners as requested and supervise and train team members to provide exceptional customer service at all times
Understand the booking channels and identify areas in which need improvement
Provide training support and guidance to the Reservations Department
Willingness to assist in other departments as and when required
Ideally, you'll have a minimum 3 years of experience in a front office and/or reservations position, preferably with at least 1 year of supervisory/management experience and a relevant school/college qualification will be to your advantage.
You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm to work as a team to provide a high level of service to all guests of different nationalities and able to work shifts, weekends and/or public holidays.
