We've got a fantastic opportunity for a creative, enthusiastic and organised person to join us as a Graphic Designer/ Marketing Coordinator !

Based at Crowne Plaza Auckland in the CBD, this role will work closely with our Marketing and Digital Marketing Managers, the Marketing Executive and the wider hotel teams to drive marketing initiatives across our InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn properties in New Zealand.

We are looking for someone with an eye for design, and an interest in marketing. You will work alongside a fun and energetic marketing team who focus on learning and growth, and

The Graphic Designer/Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager with the development and implementation of digital advertising including Youtube advertising, social posts, banner advertising and microsite graphics to name a few, website updates and blogs, edm creation, artwork creation for in-house collateral and management of external distribution channels such as booking.com and Expedia listings. Artwork creation and edits is a big part of this role, but is not everything. You will also be assisting and learning lots about the fundamentals of tourism marketing, primarily in the digital space.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Indesign and Photoshop edits and creations

  • Copywriting (print ads, blogs, direct email marketing and web content)

  • Assist with direct mail campaigns and promotions

  • Participating in creative brainstorming sessions

  • Communicate and liaise with customers and internal stakeholders

  • Liaise with external agencies and suppliers

  • Assist in the co-ordination of photoshoots

  • Video editing is a major plus

Ideally, you will have a Bachelor degree in Design, Arts or Commerce or a Diploma/Vocational Certificate in Marketing, Hotel Management, or related field.

The perfect candidate will be proficient with InDesign and Photoshop, have great copywriting skills, be digitally savvy with good understanding of social media, be flexible and have excellent time-management skills. You will also be creative, with boundless enthusiasm and have the ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties. You will have sound problem solving and organizational abilities, excellent attention to detail and a keen interest in the hotel and hospitality industry.
