IHG Americas’ Regional Corporate Office is

Job Summary – (RoleSummary)


Americas PMO Project Manager ensures the successful implementation of new

processes, programs, and/or systems for the Americas Region. This individual is responsible for leading

various project teams and utilizing project management discipline to implement

major initiatives, which involves balancing competing demands among scope,

time, cost, and quality, stakeholders with differing needs and expectations,

identifying requirements (needs) and unidentified requirements (expectations)

and working concurrently with multiple client departments and other franchise

communities as project plans are developed and executed.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities –

● Implement

strategic Americas Regional initiatives; addressing and handling risks and

issues on a day-to-day basis

● Establish

measurement plans and adopt the appropriate quality procedures to ensure smooth

and compliant launch and sustainment of these initiatives

● Manage

all internal project team communications of progress and issues with external

and internal stakeholders

● Develop

project plans related to the project, associated testing and/or pilots, and

full launches for each project as needed

● Monitor

the work associated with each work stream.

● Develop

and deliver project status updates as needed

● Update

project management systems with required reporting metrics

Education – Bachelor's

or Master’s Degree in Business Marketing, Hospitality, or an equivalent

combination of education and work-related experience

Certifications – PMP ®/

/CAPM ® /Six Sigma preferred


  • 6-8years’ project management experience responsible for managing large scale,cross-divisional, cross-functional projects with numerous stakeholders.

  • 6-8years progressive work-related experience in marketing and/or hotel operationsand/or a related hospitality field.

  • Demonstratedproficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position,including experience managing projects, change management and/or Six Sigmacontinuous improvement.

Technical Skills -

● Demonstrated

project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale

projects from conception through implementation.

● Completed

a project management training program

● Strong

consultative skills and demonstrated ability to achieve corporate business

objectives across functional boundaries.

● Strong

negotiator and able to influence those outside own team. Ability to lead a team in a matrix


● Must

possess strong communication skills, written and verbal; articulate, persuasive

& influential; systematic and timely.

Will be responsible for developing and delivering presentations to

senior leaders. Ability to maintain

confidential data required

● Experience

with project management software, e.g.MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS

Visio and MS Excel

● Experience

managing teams in a leadership capacity and working in a team environment.

● Works

well under stress and has the ability to manage projects in an environment with

tight deadlines.
