In this role you will sell hotel room nights through direct client contact; Implement hotel-level tactical sales plans as assigned and produce monthly reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility. You will develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups and companies, and attend out-of-town conventions and trade shows, to promote new business and increase sales for the hotel. You will actively participate in forecasting and goal setting and in the annual budget process, and development of sales and marketing plans. Solicit accounts that provide individual transient business that ensures maximization of revenue in order to achieve and/or exceed revenue goals. Participate in daily business review. Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition & customers.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field. A minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience for luxury/first class hotel. Experience with transient & group travel hotel sales operations. Experience with development of key marketing plan for the travel industry segment. Experience working with the development and management of yearly travel schedule & budget. You must be able to travel to attend workshops, trade shows, conventions, etc. and may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
