The InterContinental Abu Dhabi is an IHG

flag ship property in Abu Dhabi and is a prominent landmark on the corniche

located in a commanding beachfront setting. It features 390 guest rooms and

suites, highly acclaimed food and beverage outlets and elegant meeting rooms

and banquet facilities.

We are currently seeking to hire a dynamic Assistant Learning & DevelopmentManager to join InterContinental Abu Dhabi.

As an Assistant Learning & Development Manager you

will be responsible for delivering high quality training services across the

hotel in accordance with IHG brand standards.

Job Overview

  • Analyze training needs of the hotel in general and inindividual departments including outsourced partners

  • Works with Superior in the preparation and managementof the Department’s budget

  • Ensure effective training programs are in place

  • Assist Department Trainers in preparing and conductingdepartmental training

  • Prepare and monitor training programs

  • Obtain a network of specialist training professionalswho can assist with the conduct of training programmes for advanced orspecialist training

  • Produce monthly training reports

  • Liaise and build relationship with educationalinstitutions

  • Maintain current information and records of suppliersof training resources and materials

  • Source and manage training grants

  • Administer the necessary paperwork such as trainingwork permit application, banker’s guarantee and create trainees’ personal file

  • Proper on-boarding for the trainees/interns (Room tohave a Great Start)

  • Conduct exit interviews for trainees/interns andprovide feedback to enhance the hotel industrial attachment programme

  • Coaches, counsels and disciplines trainees/interns,providing constructive feedback to enhance performance

Qualifications

Ideally you'll have at least two (2) years

experience in a similar role in a 5 stars hotel. Ultimately, you have excellent

interpersonal and leadership skills, proficient skills for written and oral

communication in English. The right candidate portrays a professional image at

all times and posses strong multi tasking and admin skills.
